Life can get routine sometimes.
Wake up. Breakfast. Go to work. Lunch. Come home. Dinner. Watch T.V. Go to bed. Do it all over again.
Does that sound familiar to anyone?
Even if life isn’t the most exciting every day there are still ways to enjoy the little things. I know for me I used to not pay mind to small victories because I was all about the end goal. But I’ve learned to celebrate them just as much as the big ones because life’s truly about the journey. After all, those small victories are little reminders that you’re moving in the right direction!
Can you tell I’m on a positivity kick? 🙂
On that note, I wanted to chat about 3 ways to enjoy life every day that I’ve been applying to my life. It’s been a goal of mine to find joy in the simple things – like indulging in yummy gelato – and live a happier life.

So much happiness and fulfillment can come from celebrating the people and things we already have instead of focusing on the things we don’t. We live in a world of abundance and sometimes it’s good to shut down the noise and re-evuate where we’re directing all our energy.
Lately I’ve been re-directing my focus A LOT and saying thanks daily for all the good things in my life. I have so much to be grateful for that when I really put things into perspective I start to wonder why I ever let myself have bad days? Granted we are human and bad days are allowed but the ratio should be skewed to the good when we’re the ones getting in our own way.
The next time you start to feel your joy dwindle, pull out a piece of paper and make a list of all the things you’re thankful for. You’ll be surprised how quickly your attitude starts to change.
Be Content With Yourself
Life isn’t perfect and sometimes everything we’re grateful for can disappear in an instant. So while gratitude for what we have is so important, so is being content with ourselves – the two go hand-in-hand! Enjoy life by loving yourself first and let everything else be the cherry on top of the cake.
Condition Your Mind
It’s a hard-knock life, for A LOT of us. But some fight – real hard – and use these experiences as fuel to better themselves. I’ve talked about grit here and really believe that enjoying life has a lot to do with mindset. Condition your mind to not dwell on past negative experiences and rise from them instead of falling victim.
I find that starting small (maybe just saying thank you every morning ) helps to find enjoyment in everyday life and it feels less daunting when trying to change your outlook on life. Baby steps and the desire to be better is where it starts.
