People become beautiful when you feel their confidence; There’s no doubt in my mind that’s true. And I dare say if you ask 10 people what trait they wish they had, confidence would be mentioned well over half the time.
Because confidence is a trait we associate with having it all figured out; it’s about feeling valuable.
But how often does somebody really have it all together?
It’s inevitable to have bad days. We all find ourselves down in the dumps, less than thrilled – maybe with the way we look or a current relationship – and that feeling of confidence? Yea, that’s just a distant memory at this point.
There are many ways we can boost our confidence but today I want to chat about quick boosts of confidence. There’s a misconception that confidence takes time and lots of effort, but what makes us feel good about ourselves are simple, everyday things. They add up and make a huge difference. It’s really about training the way you view challenges and setbacks and seeing things in a more positive light.
I want to share with you what I do to boost confidence in under 10 minutes on the days I need to take control and start feeling beautiful both inside and out.
Don’t save your favorites for a special occasion
I used to only wear my favorite fragrance on date night; It was special that way. But then I took a cue from my husband – who wears things he buys straight out of the store – and I started wearing my favorite things on days I just felt like it. It gave me an incredible boost of confidence and made my not-so-good-days a little brighter again.
