Lately there’s been a lot of chatter about fall on social media. It seems to be on everyone’s mind but the weather outside is nowhere near chilly, cool temps. We still have a bit of summer to go! It’s been so hot and humid in Connecticut, I’ve had to drastically cut the length of my dog’s walks for his health, and mine! Now we do three shorter walks instead of two long ones because being outside for more than 15 minutes is just not happening.
It’s definitely wishful thinking temps for temps to get cooler any time soon so today I thought I’d share a chic work outfit for late summer that gives you just enough of the fall vibes you’re craving while still keeping things breezy and cool.
I love the classic cut and print on the trousers. They’re perfect for the office while still giving you room to breathe because of the cropped wide-leg silhouette. The light peach shade is a precursor to fall that’s still perfect for the hot weather outside.
A simple black tank-like top goes well with the already busy trousers. I like the square neckline on this Chelsea28 top because it keeps things office-appriopriate and chic – it’s currently one of my favorites! I also wore it in this post if you want to see it styled more casually.
When it comes to work wear during hot weather months, keeping cut and fabrics in mind is key. This work outfit works for late summer because the trousers are lightweight yet still have a light design meant to take you from summer to fall, as well as work to play. The top is comfortable yet chic and will keep you cool on your walk to the office.
What pieces of clothing are essential to your late summer work wardrobe? You can tell for me it’s all about the cropped wide-leg trousers.
Thanks for stopping by today! Until the next post!
