Beauty Products Worth the Splurge

I hope by now we’ve all come to the realization that big brand names don’t always mean high quality. Just read my 15 under $15 post and you’ll find a slew of drugstore products I still love and would highly recommend over and over again.

Today, though, we’re diving into the luxe end. These items have cringe-worthy price tags but man are they worth it. Like really worth. Like I just close-my-eyes-and-hand-over-the-credit-card-when-it-comes-time-to-repurchase worth it because I know I can’t live without them.

So keep reading for the beauty products worth your money honey!

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel

This gel-cream bronzer has a $50 price tag. I know, right? But what else would you expect from Chanel. Not only will this bronzer last you forever (I’ve had it for about a year and still no dent), it also gives you a very natural, skin-like finish. It does not get blotchy and the glow you get mimics the glow that comes from a beach vacation. If you love looking healthy, like you’re not wearing any makeup, then pick this up and never buy another bronzer again. I do wish more color options were available though.

Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate

Much of what I have to say about this product you’ll find in my review HERE but since I wrote that post I’ve really taken to this foundation as a concealer. My struggle with hyperpigmentation (or post-acne scarring) is one I’m still battling so full coverage is a must. If you need major coverage than this foundation will be worth every penny! I love combining it with a sheer foundation or tinted moisturizer so the outcome is more natural. I’ve never found anything to cover quite like this, especially since you need little product to do so. I’m in shade 38 Beige Deep if you’re curious.

Murad Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30

I’ve probably tried hundreds of moisturizers in my lifetime and this one continues as my favorite. I’m a stickler for SPF but it’s really difficult to find one that sits well under makeup and doesn’t cause breakouts. This is the one for me! It’s lightweight yet moisturizing, doesn’t come in a jar packaging and contains lots of really good antioxidants for your skin. The combo is worthy of the price and will probably be my go-to for years to come.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow

This bronzer/highlight duo is my favorite to travel with because I know I’m going to get high quality results. This highlighter isn’t going to shine like a disco ball on your face! Instead it’s going to drape flawlessly and accentuate the high points of your face without looking chalky or too shimmery. It’s fabulous if you have a lot of texture or have more mature skin. When it comes to the bronzer, I love it because it doesn’t cast an orange tone and truly helps create a more sculptured appearance. It’s hard to find duos where both products are equally as good and for that I highly recommend splurging your pennies! Plus it’s so fancy looking!!

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic

Ah this serum! If you’ve ever picked up a magazine or read an online article on best skincare than you’ve probably seen this product mentioned. Everyone raves about it for its powerful antioxidant combination and how quickly it absorbs into the skin, making it a go-to in my morning skincare routine. Like I mentioned earlier I’m big on protecting my skin against sun damage and this serum, although super-duper pricey, will keep it looking its best for as long as possible. With daily use my bottle lasted 6 months so for me it’s a worthy investment!

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

Being a self-proclaimed oily, combination girl it’s pretty interesting this mist made it on my splurge-worthy list but it did! I have to admit it took me awhile to buy into the hype. What I love most about this product is how it helps melt my makeup into my skin. I don’t spray it all over though! I focus on the sides of my face so it enhances the finish of my highlight and doesn’t add to my oily t-zone. I also feel super fancy when I spritz myself with it so I like to save it for special occasions.

Do you already love any of the products I mentioned? What products do you repurchase even though they cost a pretty penny? Let me know your faves!

Besos,

Ilse
