The Anastasia Beverly Hills Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit launches online today and everyone can’t wait to get their hands on it. I’m excited because not only have I been watching Nicole’s Youtube videos for years (think back to the days when she had a stripper pole in her room #noshade), I always love seeing hard-working women succeed and kick serious butt! You go girl!
The Nicole Glow Kit is the sixth kit from Anastasia but the first glow kit collaboration for the brand. The kit is limited edition and will only be sold at Sephora and AnastasiaBeverlyHills.com. It’s comprised of six metallic, powder shades that live within the pinky, peachy, rose gold family. It retails for $40, you get 0.16 oz. of product per shade and can be used to highlight everything from your cheekbones to your collarbone.
FACT: We all want to look flawless #beyonce. We want to look just as flawless in real life as we do in our selfies (after one, maybe two filters). A little easier to accomplish for those with great skin (What evil pact did you make, oh perfect skin beauty?), but harder to achieve for the rest of us who have to deal with and conceal major skin issues daily.

Hi beauty! I'm Ilse (ill-say)! Welcome to LiveLearnLuxeIt! A place where I share a medley of my loves - from fashion and beauty to lifestyle topics like marriage and #girlpower! My passion is to cultivate honest conversations between the women who are the doers and shakers of the world (or aspire to be!), and provide a source of inspiration for the modern woman.
I currently live in Connecticut with my husband of five years but have a special place in my heart for Arizona (my home state), where I graduated from ASU with a degree in Journalism.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you decide to stay awhile!
Too Faced is one of my favorite makeup brands when it comes to packaging and these palettes are prime examples! I’d like to meet the genius that came up with the idea to put eyeshadows in palettes that look like chocolate, and SMELL like chocolatey-goodness straight out of a Willy Wonka factory.
Aesthetically these palettes are everything! The magnetic closure and tin packaging is wonderful for travel and the mirror inside is a decent size. I also love the thinner, more compact version of Semi-Sweet (and the second edition of The Chocolate Bar). A wonderful bonus with these palettes is that they’re made with 100% natural, antioxidant-rich cocoa powder which is going to give you anti-aging benefits! Love that!
Times are a-changing in the drugstore makeup world. I’ve always loved that I could find beautifully formulated lipsticks, clump-free mascaras, even blendable foundations at the drugstore but rarely pigmented and smooth eyeshadows.
So naturally my expectations weren’t high for the new L’oreal La Palette Nude 1; I purchased it purely for research purposes (promise!) but came out of it pleasantly surprised.
Drugstore brushes can be hit or miss.. I know, I’ve tried a ton! They can be stiff, scratchy and most of all not deliver in performance; That’s why I’m pretty excited to be bringing you two new brushes that are quickly becoming must-haves.
It feels so good to be back on the blogging grind! I’ve missed you guys! And I’m just as equally excited to be bringing you one of the best drugstore finds I’ve come across in a very long time.
I’m talking about Maybelline FITMe Matte+Poreless Foundation! Girlfriend, let me tell you about my new best friend.
Let’s start with the claims, shall we?
I’m not a lipstick junkie; I indulge in neutral eyeshadow palettes, that’s where all my money goes! So when these lipsticks launched I said, “ooh, pretty!,” glanced at the price tag, but couldn’t bring myself to purchase just yet.
Then came my $20 Sephora rewards card in the mail, and I asked myself what luxe item would I dread paying full price for (but really really want) and these pretty little things came to mind.
LAUNCHED: Fall 2014

New Year’s Eve, a time for celebrating with your loved ones, watching the ball drop and counting down excitedly to… the release of Jaclyn Hill Favorites Palette?
That seems about right.
The collaboration between Youtuber Jaclyn Hill and Morphe Brushes was highly anticipated by makeup lovers everywhere. The launch was so anticipated that hackers actually flooded the website with traffic causing it to crash.
Nevertheless, eager buyers still managed to get their hands on this palette, causing it to sell-out in two days.
Starting a beauty blog in 2014 was a natural step for me. I’ve always loved recommending beauty products to my family and friends because nothing is more satisfying to me than introducing them to new treasures. So it’s only natural that I take a look back at my beauty year and choose with great preciseness, the best of the best in beauty for you guys, my new friends, and let you know the top 14 products that changed my beauty life in 2014.
I decided not to pick one product from each category (best palette, best cleanser, etc) but rather pick the 14 products that truly made a difference and that if I can help it, will never go without. Some are new products that launched in 2014, others have been around for quite some time. Nonetheless, in my opinion, they are superstars, and deserve just a little more time in the spotlight. This is going to be a bit of a long one so sit back, grab a snack, and take notes!
No matter your age, you simply cannot escape it. If you wear under eye concealer, you’re bound to develop some sort of under eye creasing throughout the day. How much creasing can depend on what concealer you use and the amount of prominent fine lines you have. The good news is you can definitely minimize creasing by applying a setting powder. I’ve discovered with setting powders that a higher price tag doesn’t necessarily mean performance will be better; Some of my favorites are drugstore.
Finding a foundation that suits my daily skin needs has been a tough endeavor. I’m 27 and still suffer from acne. And if I’m not dealing with the pimple of the day, I’m trying to cover past acne scarring. I’m also combination/oily, which in the long run could be a good thing (they say oily skin shows signs of aging later than other skin types) but for my fellow oily girls you know applying the wrong foundation formula can only make matters worse.
If any of the above sounds oddly familiar to your current skin conditions and needs then continue reading for my top favorite foundations of the moment. They’re on the higher end of the spectrum but I’ve found them to really work well with my skin.
