Confession time: The hubs and I have been horrible gift shoppers this year! It’s a serious, cringe-worthy problem that we’ll have to fix ASAP because guess what? Christmas is in less than two weeks! And we’ve purchased one gift. I laugh and cry as a write this LOL.
The sales just do not quit! But I gotta say, Cyber Monday sales are my favorite! You get to shop from the comfort of your own home, in pjs (if you wish) and you don’t have to worry about long lines or traffic!
I rounded up my fave sales going on now so take a peek and shop ’till you drop!.. or close your laptop 😉
e.l.f.: 50% off + free brush on orders $30+ with code CYBERMONDAY
asos: 30% off everything with code THANKFUL30
anthropologie: 20% off full-price items + free shipping $150+ with code STACKS
On your marks, get set, SHOP! Black Friday deals have begun so I thought I’d round-up some of my faves right now. Lately I’ve been shopping tons at Express so I’d take a look there first (plus the deal is better online than in store!). I already picked up this tee from the Ily Couture sale that I can’t wait to wear and I’m currently debating on some new makeup brushes from Sigma. I’ll continue to update this list through Cyber Monday so make sure you keep coming back! Happy shopping loves!
What a crazy couple of days amiright? I wouldn’t feel right if I completely glossed over this tremendous moment in the history of the United States and just went on talking about my favorite lipsticks. We have a new President. And the outcome (stating the obvious here) has shown the divide in beliefs and opinions within our country.
I, for one, had to take some time to really process my emotions. Good and bad thoughts naturally flooded my mind. A closure to it all came to me after hearing all concluding speeches. Some of those words will forever resonate in my heart. With all that said, I thought the best way to move forward is to make a promise to myself:
Happy Friday loves! Since we’re on the brink of holiday madness, I thought I’d slow it down a bit and chat about the importance of “me time.” I am a total advocate of getting “me time” every single day (if I can get it!). It makes a world of difference when I can squeeze some alone time to recharge and collect myself for the following day.
Ever go on a trip that does wonders for your soul? This girls’ trip to Nashville was one of them for me. I met up with two dear college friends (aka sorority sisters) and the entire trip was filled with laughter, love and memories I’ll never forget.
Although I’m sharing where we went and what we ate, Nashville ended up being a backdrop to us reconnecting and recharging. The time we spent together was more about girl talk rather than making sure we visited every touristy location. At the end of it all it felt like a true vacation and I left feeling so refreshed and ready to tackle the future.
If you read my last post and follow me on Instagram then you already know I’m visiting family and friends in Arizona. From here I’ll be traveling to Vegas for just a couple of days then end my vacation in Nashville where I’m meeting up with two dear friends! I am one lucky gal.
All this traveling had me dreading the packing process. I pretty much wanted to throw everything in my suitcase but I stopped myself.. as much as I could! LOL. So far these products have been making my traveling so much easier because they’ve kept my skin healthy (which always tends to go crazy when I travel) and they’ve kept me organized. I have a feeling they’ll be staples for a long time!
What does success mean to you? Is it finding your soulmate and living a wonderful life together? Is it accomplishing lifelong career goals? Or does it simply mean finding happiness and living a life of content?
Whatever definition you have of success, it’s going to take certain actions to help you achieve it. These habits are what separate “successful” people from everyone else.
Today I’m chatting about 3 things successful people always do. They’re simple. They’re quick. And they make all the difference.
I’m not going to lie and say spring has finally sprung in good ol’ Connecticut because IT.HAS.NOT! I mean just now I’m listening to the ghostly wind swirl outside my window and the pitter-patter of rain hit the gravel. Not to mention there was snow on the ground about two weeks ago so ya, I’d say we have some time to kill before pretty flowers bloom around us (I’m not bitter).
In my mind though, it’s spring because I’m done with layers and dreary weather so I’ve been dressing the part. And I gotta say I’m loving all the new spring trends popping up. They’re fun, they’re chic, and combine the best of street style with a sophisticated feminine touch all while coming together for a polished look.
Stress can overpower us at any minute. It can flood our bodies with tension and cause anxiety we can’t control. It’s a scary thing so today I’m chatting about three ways we can deal with stress when life gets to be too much. They’re so simple you might already be practicing them but being aware of which techniques work best for you when you need to unwind is winning half the battle.
1. Do Nothing
Easier said than done right? Well, you know how after a yoga class the instructor has you lay on your mat with your eyes closed listening to soothing music? This is the same idea. Staring out an open window or laying peacefully on the couch taking deep breaths can relax your body and mind. It’s a way of quieting the world around you and if you visualize a happy place or have serene thoughts, it can bring you back to a calm state.
I couldn’t resist putting together one final outfit for Valentine’s Day. I’ve already brought you a white lace dress, a sexier option with over-the-knee boots and today I thought it’d be fun to be a bit more girly and sport some classic red! This skirt seriously makes me feel like a princess and I can’t think of a better day than Valentine’s Day to wear an outfit like this!
