Deep greens have an elegance to them. Red is merry. And sequins is simply fun! But what do you wear during the holiday season when none of the typical options suit you? Girl, I’ve got you!
Today’s look was put together with a few ladies in mind who emailed me saying they loved festive looks but wanted a more subtle way to dress for the season. One lady specifically asked how to balance personal style while still embracing the holidays and not always having to wear green, red or sequins.
I completely understood her!
I look at dressing for the holidays the same way I look at trends – don’t do it just because everyone else is. Find your happy medium and spread holiday cheer in your own way. Maybe none of those colors and typical fabrics go with your skin tone or style but maybe a fun silhouette does (like this midi skirt), or you’re particularly fond of the statement sleeve trend. Wear it but in a color you love.
This holiday outfit (that’s not green, red or sequins!) is a great example of a chic choice that still hits the mark when dressing appropriately for the season. Not only would it work for a family gathering, but you could wear it to a work party as well!

The great thing about fashion is that there are no real rules, and the most important thing is to feel confident in whatever you do decide to put on – especially when celebrating happy moments.
Do you embrace the colors of the holiday season or do you like to dress in a more subtle way? For me, it’s all about the event I’m attending.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed today’s post!
