Raise of hands if you’ve been spotting the criss-cross trend everywhere lately? I sure have! From t-shirts to dresses, criss-cross has taken over. I’ve been loving it because it’s so easy (and inexpensive!) to incorporate into your wardrobe, and it takes a simple tank or dress to the next level.
This dress has been on repeat for me. I can dress it up or down depending on the occasion, which is the type of clothing I’ve been gravitating toward recently. I wore it out with friends to the city a few weeks back and paired it with a jacket and booties; instantly it looked more dressed up! When I was in Arizona I tied a flannel shirt around my waist and wore it with my new favorite slip-on sneakers for a casual feel. I think I wore that combo like 2 days in a row. The color is perfect for fall too!
If you’re not a fan of the rust color for fall, this dress also comes in black! I can see it being a go-to for semi-formal events where you still want to feel super comfy. My booties are Vince Camuto. I couldn’t find the exact pair so I linked similar ones for you guys. My jacket is from Banana Republic. I got it on super discount many years back and it’s served me well. I highly recommend investing or looking for staple pieces like shoes and coats at stores where you know the quality will last. BR is a great store for that! My hubby actually introduced me to Banana Republic and now I shop there all the time for my staple pieces!
My sunglasses are only $12 and I linked them HERE! I found them while shopping with my mom in Arizona. She was the one who spotted them and said they looked like sunglasses I would wear. Mom knows best! And I’ve never gotten more compliments on sunglasses before. Plus, you can’t beat the price!
Another way I like to incorporate this trend is by wearing a criss-cross tank underneath a simple v-neck t-shirt. The criss-cross peaks out and it looks really cute!
