I’m starting a little bi-weekly series on the blog called Friday Favorites. A lot of times I find myself wanting to tell you guys about something I’ve been loving but it’s kinda random or I don’t really want to devote an entire post on it so this is where I’ll be sharing it! It’ll be like taking a peek inside my “medicine cabinet” aka my life lol.
When I rounded up all my faves for today I noticed a little theme – a wellness theme. Which makes sense since I’ve been focusing on getting my mind and body right (I talk more about weight lose here and how to be successful here). For lent I gave up wine and spending excessive amounts of time on social media. And guess what? I’ve been LOVING it! It’s like I’m cleansing myself from toxins in more ways than one. I think I’ll def be writing a post on this soon but to get back to the point, my favorites for the last couple of weeks are a little bit of skincare and lots of goodies that have been helping me zen out when I need it.
There’s definitely truth in wearing cute clothes to the gym for motivation. I gave these shoes a little shout-out on my Insta claiming love-at-first-sight and I still stand by that statement. While I’ve been wearing them more for running errands, these shoes have proven super comfortable and the quilted design and color work with anything I throw on. When I bought them, I was with a friend and she ended up buying them too! Just sayin’!
I picked this lotion up while visiting my in-laws in Virginia, spur of the moment, and I’ve grown to love it so much. The front says the rose oil calms to bring balance and harmony and the sandalwood oil relaxes and soothes the mind. I can’t 100% vouch for all of that but this lotion has taken permanent residence on my nightstand and I apply it on my hands and arms before I go to bed. It’s a strong scent but it doesn’t bother me. I recommend checking out the rest of the line because they have lots more scents to choose from.
I might shock everyone by saying I’m not the biggest fan of all the GlamGlow masks BUT this one, this one I love. It’s good as an all-over mask but it’s even better as a spot treatment. Lately my skin’s been funky and I’ve been treating my breakouts by using this mask just on my blemishes. I’ll use it overnight and notice a big reduction in inflammation. I know this is pretty pricey so ask for a sample to try it out or check out my all-time favorite masks HERE where I talk about a pretty good dupe.
The most unique part about this moisturizer is how hydrating it is without feeling greasy on my combination skin. I have issues with dryness during the winter and this cream really helped heal and nourish my skin (along with THESE dry skin tips and oils). I really love the container too – you have to press the top down and the perfect amount comes out, keeping all the ingredients stable and sanitary.
No lie the name and cute container were half the reason I bought this tea but besides the obvious it’s been my go-to night time tea before heading to bed. The red rooibos is naturally caffeine-free, organic, and has tons of good antioxidants to fight free radicals and clear skin. I drink it hot but you can also use it to make iced tea.
Let me know what you think of this new series on my blog?! Like I said I tend to gather so many good products or places I’m loving that I thought this would be the perfect way to share them with you all!
Of course share your favorites below, especially if you’ve been loving any good teas – I’m a tea-addict these days!
