Happy February loves! 2016 is officially underway and for the first time (in a long time) I feel like time is actually going the right speed.. not too fast, not too slow. Just right. I feel ready for Valentine’s Day.
Here in Connecticut it’s been surprisingly warm (Did I just jinx it? Hope not). The weather has been so pleasing to my little Arizonan heart that I was able to comfortably wear this little white dress out for date night with my hubby this past weekend.
I don’t know about you but my closet is full of white dresses. I have this crazy obsession with them because 1. They make you look tanner than you really are 2. There’s a certain softness and femininity to them and 3. Add lace to the equation and your girl can’t take it off the rack and to the cash register soon enough.
Because I’m so fond of white dresses I linked a few below that are absolutely stunning (particularly this one) and perfect for a special date night on Valentine’s Day. But you don’t have to be in a relationship to rock this little ensemble either! Even if you plan on making it a squad night this February 14th, a little white dress (perhaps with a red lip) is a welcomed change on the predictable pink and red choices.
I kept my makeup super simple. I tend to focus more toward glowy skin and neutral makeup when I go on dates with my husband.
The main attraction was definitely Laura Geller’s highlighter in ‘Guilded Honey’! That thing is no joke! If you love gold highlighters you absolutely need this in your life!!
For the rest of my face I simply applied MakeUpForEver’s Ultra HD Foundation (review HERE) all over and concealed any blemishes with Marc Jacob’s Re(Marc)able Full Cover Foundation. I set my foundation with the Kat Von D Lock-It Powder. This little trio is FULL COVERAGE!
For my eyes I used the Lorac Pro II Palette. I swept ‘Rosé’ all over my lid and deepened the outer V with ‘Lt. Brown’ and a little bit of ‘Cocoa’ which I also applied on my bottom lash line.
I’d love to hear which of the dresses is your fave?! And if you’re team #SquadNight or team #DateNight this Valentine’s Day?
