It’s been a minute since I updated you guys on what’s been going on in my life lately! I think the holiday season really turns things upside down and it can take a while to feel back to normal. I’m finally getting there and regaining my schedule because for a while I simply had no control over it! Did anyone feel like that? I love the holidays but man did they challenge me this year to stay on track and focus on creating for you guys + work! I love that things have gotten back to a tempo I much more agree with.
Next month my husband and I are taking a little trip to California. We’ll be there for a wedding but of course, we decided to also turn it into a mini-vacation. He loves the Santa Monica area so we’re planning on doing a day or two there and then exploring L.A. For all the times I’ve been to California, I’ve never walked Rodeo Drive or seen the LACMA lights so we’re planning to go all out touristy. If you have any restaurant recommendations definitely let me know! I plan my vacation days according to the food I want to eat! LOL.. anyone else do that?
I’m also heading back home to Arizona for a quick visit – without the hubs 🙁 He was to come back home but I get to take a few more days and stop by to see the fam and enjoy the much warmer weather! Do any of you live in AZ or nearby? Comment below and let me know if you do!!
And finally, if you came to this post to chat jumpsuits, we’re finally there! I am so taking this black jumpsuit with me on my vacation next month. I’ve owned it for ages and it’s definitely served me well. I like to pack pieces that are very versatile and this piece can be dressed up for a more sophisticated feel or can be really comfy to walk around the city in. The cut and color are perfect for the modern woman and really gives off a relaxed, chic vibe – kinda what I’m going for when it comes to my wardrobe for this trip.

Let’s talk about the pieces that really elevated this black jumpsuit to a more sophisticated look: the belt and duster! The belt is gold plated which automatically gives a luxe feel to any piece (pricey or not) and the duster – an olive shade – keeps it relaxed but still trendy and wearable for day or night. The duster is one of my favorite versatile pieces in my closet that you’ve actually seen in SO many of posts – here, here, here and here! It’s one of those staple pieces I had no idea would become a staple!
Thanks for stopping by today! Did you enjoy bits of my personal life mixed with style talk? Let me know your thoughts?!
Until next post!
