Happy Galentine’s Day my beautiful ladies! Today is the day we celebrate strong women and the bonds we have with each other. It’s a day when our +1 means something a little different because we ditch our significant others and gather our favorite girlfriends! The idea that this “holiday” is a totally, fictional day created by Amy Poehler’s character in Parks and Recreation makes it even better, and I love that it’s now a tradition for so many of us!
If you’ve been keeping up with my Instagram then you know I was in California for a wedding and now I’m in Arizona visiting family and friends. My husband had to head back home to Connecticut for work after Cali so that means this year we’re spending Valentine’s Day apart. Without realizing it, I made plans with two of my dearest friends today so I get the full Galentine’s Day experience with dinner and a sleepover! While I’m sad I won’t be with my hubs, I can’t think of a better way to spend a day dedicated to friendship.
I’m also planning on spending actual Valentine’s Day with my mom. My stepdad works long hours so we’re each other’s Valentine’s for the night. I don’t think we’ve ever celebrated together so I’m really excited about it! I’m sure we’ll grab dinner and watch a movie which is my kinda night.

If you haven’t decided what to wear with your besties for Galentine’s Day then this outfit is the perfect inspiration for your look! I love the combination of the graphic tee with a coral, lace pencil skirt and the denim jacket draped over the shoulders. It’s fun, classy, and sexy all in one outfit.
I’m completely obsessed with the entire look but I gotta say the graphic tee is my favorite part! I went ahead and tied it in the back to create a better shape with the pencil skirt but it’s also perfect untucked and over leggings or jeans. I love the message and the beautiful rose in place of the “i”.
Are you planning on celebrating with your besties today for Galentine’s Day? Or do you have a special date or night-in planned with your loved one tomorrow? I would love to know below!
Lots of love & until next post!
