It feels great to be back with a style post for you today! I don’t know if it’s the impending change of season (spring, we are ALL waiting for you) or the fact that I’m slowly but surely getting back into my regular clothes (hello new mom bod) but I’m very excited for a spring refresh! I’m feeling a bit like a kid in a candy store when putting outfits together because for such a long time my wardrobe was limited.
One of my favorite trends that I talked about over on Instagram is pastels for spring. This trend is nothing new but this year I’m finding such incredible pieces that feel a lot more grown up and easy to wear for every day. For such a long time I thought color equaled young, especially pastels, but when done right this soft color palette can be incredibly chic and so much fun.

3 chic ways to wear pastels for spring
Add a touch of french
I can’t think of anything more chic than a cheeky french phrase. My sweater reads “You, Me, Oui” and it comes in the perfect baby blue hue – a must if you want to wear pastels for spring. The embroidered phrase on my sweater keeps the outfit a little more fun too and gives it just the right amount of casual element while still looking sophisticated.
Double up on pastels
What’s better than wearing one pastel item? Wearing two 😉 Don’t be afraid to pair two contrasting colors together. Pastels make it easy to infuse color into your wardrobe without feeling loud or too goudy. I love baby blue with blush but mint (instead of blue) would work great here too.
If a complete pastel outfit is not your thing then start small with accessories. A beautiful lilac purse would go great with a casual denim and white top look or find a pair of easy neutral sandals for every day wear. This soft color palette is so versatile and accessories make it an easy spring trend to add to your wardrobe right away.
So what do you think? Will you be wearing pastels for spring? I’d love to hear your favorite way to incorporate this trend in the comments below.
