As much as I love a good pop of color on the lips, nude lipsticks are easily my favorite staple. And I know you ladies are with me when I say not all nude colors are created equal. There are countless undertones, finishes, and shades to choose from – but that’s the fun of makeup right? So many options for all your moods.
I have a few – well, 5 to be exact – nude lip products that I rotate depending on my mood. I know I’m going to get comfortable-wear and long-lasting color from all these options so they’re always in my purse.

For when you’re feeling flirty.. Charlotte Tilbury “Pillow Talk”
This lipstick gives the illusion of pillow-y lips (hence the name?) and it’s my favorite everyday lipstick. There’s no need to use a mirror when I apply it and it has one of the most comfortable finishes. If you get any product from this list, pick this one up.
For when you can’t be bothered.. YSL “7 Nu Interdit”
Easily one of my favorite nude shades to throw on and go. This color is definitely a “my lips but better” shade and has a slightly muted pink tone. I wear this on days when I don’t want to worry about re-applying my lipstick or worry about it looking weird once it starts to wear off. If you have really pigmented lips I would go for a deeper shade if you want a lip product for this line.
For when you’re feeling rebellious.. Huda Beauty “Bombshell”
The formula took me a little while to get used to (it’s a bit watery) but once it dries it’s very comfortable on the lips. The color pulls a little warm, more on the nude brown side and it’s the perfect shade for crisp fall days. During summer I like to wear it with all white outfits or when I want to accentuate my tan.
For when you’re feeling like a Boss Babe.. NYX “Push-Up”
The Lingerie line from NYX is definitely a great drugstore liquid lipstick line and the shade “Push-up” is one of my favorite true nudes. I recommend this to anyone who likes their nudes on the brown side with no pink undertone. It’s the lightest nude on this list so I always pair with a liner to add definition.
For when you want to be pretty in pink.. Covergirl “Ballerina”
This shade is the pinkest of the bunch without being too pink. It’s not too young, has a blue undertone, and I love pairing it with this lip liner.
Lip products are definitely where I experiment the most when it comes to makeup but you can’t beat tried-and-true favorites. These nude shades not only work for all moods, they’ll work for both day and night events.
