Don’t we all wish we could take our entire paycheck and splurge at Sephora every weekend? I certainly do; I just want to make it rain when I walk through those doors!
But sadly that’s a luxury a very small percentage of us have (luckies!). That’s why today I’m bringing you the top makeup products I don’t feel bad splurging on at Sephora.
These products are high quality, reliable, and I cannot live without them.
Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation $42
This foundation is my current holy grail and has been for quite some time now; I find it works well with countless skin types and women of all ages. Having oily/combination skin, I can vouch this foundation will not break up during the day, but rather will mix with your natural oils to give you a natural, satin finish.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer $29
There’s no other concealer that combines coverage and brightening like this one. It lives up to its name by concealing under eye darkness with a moisturizing, full-coverage formula, and at the same time delivers a radiant finish.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush $35
These blushes are like no other blushes I own! They give me a very natural flush of color with a subtle highlight infused within the shade. Whether you love more natural looks or a full-face glam, these blushes will pair beautifully with either one. If you’re struggling with the price tag I’d say pick up the palette and try three shades for a more reasonable price! My fave?.. Mood Exposure!
Kat Von D Shade+Light Palette $46
This is a new product in my beauty arsenal but it’s instantly become holy grail status for me. Why? I’ve never owned a palette where I consider every shade the best of the best in its category! This is wonderful for women suffering with under eye darkness who want to set their concealer with a full coverage, brightening powder. The peach shade (Levitation) works great for counteracting and neutralizing dark circles and the combination of ‘Lucid’ and ‘Lyric’ is a dream come true for those who love their under eyes BRIGHT! ‘Subconscious’ is my go-to contour shade because of its cool, grey undertone and the warmth of ‘Shadowplay’ makes it the perfect bronzer color. ‘Sombre’ is like a great combination of both ‘Shadowplay’ and ‘Subconscious’ that darker skin tones will appreciate; I love it when I want to get my J.Lo bronze on.
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder $24
Unlike the KVD palette, this under eye setting powder is going to give you more of a natural finish and is perfect for everyday use. I love applying this powder with a damp beauty blender because this method prevents severe creasing throughout the day. BUT being a true follower of that Kim K. under eye brightening movement, I usually use both the secreting brightening powder and the KVD shades under my eyes! Together I get the most creaseless, budge-proof, brightening under eye area! I also like to dust this powder down the center of my face to help with oil control.
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfectors $38
They say to fake it ’till you make it, right? Well BECCA’s shimmering skin perfectors do just that when it comes to achieving that desired glow from within look. These highlighters are not for the faint of heart though.. they’re going to give you a very obvious, albeit beautiful, sheen when applied. They carry a wide range of shades with choices for all skin tones but my favorite is ‘Opal’ which I believe is suitable for almost everybody (If you’re having trouble finding the perfect highlighter for your skin tone, check out my ‘Glow-To Guide to Highlighters’ HERE).
