One of the best things about getting older is really getting to know yourself. When I turned 30, it was like something switched inside me and I truly began to embrace what I like and started defining my style according to me. Fast-forward to having a baby and it’s really pushed me to embrace my new body and discover new (and timeless) styles that work with my new curves.
A classic spring wrap top is one of those pieces that’s versatile, effortless, and will work season after season. With age, I’ve grown to enjoy filling my closet with classic wardrobe staples over trendy pieces, and a wrap top (just like the wrap dress) is definitely a must. Don’t get me wrong I definitely love dipping my toes in trends that fit my personal style but overall, you’ll find me focusing on quality over quantity.
what I’m wearing
The thing I love about the classic wrap top is you can easily dress it up or down, it can be worn for work or play, and it accentuates all body types. Like I mentioned above, I’m still learning how to dress my body after baby and what I found is that past favorites just don’t work for me right now. When I wore this top, I felt confident and the slight peplum and puff sleeves really made it forgiving. I love that if I continue to lose weight, it’ll still work for me, making it timeless and a piece I can re-wear throughout my journey to pre-baby weight.
I’m also incredibly obsessed with the white and blue floral pattern. I have a post coming up with another top that has a similar pattern and that’s because these two colors together are having a moment for me. This spring I’m seeing it everywhere and I can’t get enough. But if it’s not for you, this top also comes in a white and black polka dot pattern that has a slightly retro feel.
