The Anastasia Beverly Hills Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit launches online today and everyone can’t wait to get their hands on it. I’m excited because not only have I been watching Nicole’s Youtube videos for years (think back to the days when she had a stripper pole in her room #noshade), I always love seeing hard-working women succeed and kick serious butt! You go girl!
The Nicole Glow Kit is the sixth kit from Anastasia but the first glow kit collaboration for the brand. The kit is limited edition and will only be sold at Sephora and AnastasiaBeverlyHills.com. It’s comprised of six metallic, powder shades that live within the pinky, peachy, rose gold family. It retails for $40, you get 0.16 oz. of product per shade and can be used to highlight everything from your cheekbones to your collarbone.
(Swatches below are only one swipe. Left to Right: Kitty Kat – a soft rose gold, Forever Young – a muted pewter, Daydream – a deep peach, Forever Lit – a blue-toned, pearl, Glo Getter – a soft, peachy gold, 143 – a deep gold bronze)
I’m happy to report the Nicole Glow Kit is bomb.com (yes, I’m still saying that). I was a little worried this kit wouldn’t deliver but it’s deliciously smooth and extremely pigmented. I “ooh-ed” the first time I swatched it because the shades are seriously so creamy and buttery – a makeup lover’s dream!
The versatility of this palette is also great! My favorite shades are probably “Glo Getter” and “Forever Young” because they wear the best on my medium, olive skin tone but I love how unique and intense “Forever Lit” is. “Kitty Kat” has been working beautifully as an eyeshadow and “143” is a beautiful shimmer bronzer topper.
I will say this kit won’t be for you if you like a nice, subtle glow – although you can probably control this with how heavily you dip your brush and apply. This kit is more for someone who loves that intense, I-can-see-your-highlight-from-across-the-room beam. And if you spray your brush with some MAC Fix+ before you apply, forget about it! You’ll be able to get an intense wet look from all six shades.
The only thing that doesn’t thrill me are the slight shimmer bits some of the shades have. Not a deal-breaker for me but worth the mention for people who have a lot of texture. I know I have to be careful with this so it’s just something to think about.
Overall the price, value and pigmentation all work for me. I’m very happy with this collaboration and I definitely recommend purchasing if you love your highlighters, are looking for unique shades and want great color pay-off. As far as who can wear it will depend on how you use it. Though it’s dominated by warm tones, the range is great across the board and lends itself to countless, workable combinations.
Did you pick up your Anastasia Beverly Hills Nicole Glow Kit? I’d love to know which shade is your fave and which combination you’re loving the most?
