I came, I saw, I conquered; My exact thoughts on the month of March! Boy was it filled with a lot of traveling and exciting new changes in my life.
I definitely relied on old-faithfuls to keep me looking polished on-the-go and a few skincare must-haves to help me battle different climates throughout my travels. I did a “What’s in my Travel Bag” post with all the makeup I brought on my trip but these 8 products really stood out and made all the difference. I have a feeling April will be a month of new discoveries but for now, I really want to give praise where praise is due to these March beauty life-savers.
I’m a huge fan of Ardell’s Glamour Wispies but last month was all about the #120’s! Gah these are gorgeous! They’re travel-friendly because they’re the perfect length for my eyes (no need to trim them) and they go with anything! Daytime or night, I can wear them and add the most perfect cat-eye effect to my look.
Traveling from the East Coast to the West Coast did a number on my skin. Normally I’m combination/oily but the climate change made the bottom half of my face (specifically the skin around my mouth area) very dry; Applying this mask nightly really helped quench my skin and helped it get back to normal.
I am not the first to rave about this highlighter and I can guarantee I won’t be the last. On days I had little time to get ready I’d dab this baby on the high points of my cheeks and sweep it on my lids, with focus on my inner tear ducts, to look more awake and add some ‘life’ to my skin.
Blotting sheets have become a staple in my purse; These particular ones take away all my excess oil without removing my makeup, and have become extremely handy as the weather’s gotten warmer in Arizona.
The brush applicator on this concealer really came in handy last month; It made it super simple to swipe under my eyes and around my nose to cover redness. It’s also extremely affordable, full-coverage and wonderful for covering purple-blue toned under-eye circles because of its peachy color. I use the shade ‘Creamy Beige.’
I’m a big fan of rose-scented fragrances so this facial spray was, and continues to be, the perfect mid-day refresher for me. It’s become my favorite skincare indulgence, and I’ve loved using it to add a bit of moisture back to my skin.
This has been a long-time favorite of mine but I rediscovered it in March. It’s a universal nude lip liner that works as a great peachy-brown all over lip color as well. I started using it when I heard Lisa Eldridge rave about it and I’ve never looked back.
There’s just something about this nude gloss that goes with everything; If I felt my lip was too strong, I’d throw this on and instantly the shade would tone down without losing its original color. It’s beautiful, non-sticky and 99% natural. What’s not to love?
