Are you guys feeling the heat? I sure am! These past couple of days have been hot in Connecticut and my wardrobe went from long-sleeves to no sleeves overnight. I can’t lie I’ve been so ready to finally feel some sunshine on my skin! I was getting major FOMO seeing everyone’s pool pics and summer fun that I was itching for warmer weather.
While dressing for outdoor events can be pretty easy (maxi dresses all day, every day) finding a simple but trendy summer work outfit can be challenging. You want to stay cool in the summer heat but you don’t want to show too much skin. And if you’re like me, you definitely want your look to be appropriate, just not boring.
Today’s look has to be one of the comfiest looks I ever put together. Not only do you feel like you’re in pj’s, it’s actually really cute and put together for an office setting. I love the fun summer feel and because I can’t seem to quit pastels and floral print this season, I went ahead and made sure to incorporate them in this summer office look.

The cami I’m wearing is from Express and I already know I’ll be wearing it on repeat all summer – it’s so versatile and easy to throw on. You’d think a top like this would be easy to find but I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect one for what seems like forever! This one is lined, not too low-cut and it comes in every color under the sun so you know I’m already plotting to purchase more.
The pants are my new favorite! They’re airy and so comfortable! The print adds the fun, summer vibe to the work look but I can also see myself wearing them to run errands or to grab lunch with a friend. I wore them to church this past Sunday and they were perfect for walking around our neighborhood afterward.
And now for the pumps! Ladies, they’re only $28! White shoes are super on trend right now but I didn’t feel like making a huge splurge. These are perfect and very comfortable! I’m a size 6.5.
Do you ladies find it difficult to dress for the office during summer months? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
