A couple of weeks ago I was at Nordstrom and saw this beauty of a skirt from the corner of my eye. I beelined to it and tried on my size. If you read my blog on a regular basis you know I’m more of a neutral girl but this skirt was irresistible, even for me. It’s rare to find a piece that has so much personality yet still has the versatility to work for any type of occasion.
Normally versatile pieces tend to be basics: think denim skinny jeans, a white button-up, black pumps, etc. But when it comes to springtime, a piece you can wear and re-wear has a lot to do with color. This midi skirt has them all, and they’re pastel! I spoke about pastel colors for spring in this post if you want to check it out and I couldn’t dream up a better piece to demonstrate the trend. From the lavender to the peach to the stunning gem-like turquoise, this skirt allows you to dress it up or down and play up various colors without looking too costumey.

I went for a more feminine casual look for the skirt since that’s normally what I gravitate toward on a day-to-day basis but you can easily switch out my white button-up for a black bodysuit and ditch the nude shoes for sleeker pumps to create an evening look. In doing so you have a midi skirt you can wear to all your spring events. Plus it’s easily one of the more comfortable and breezy pieces so it works for in-between weather.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this look and if you’d wear this midi skirt out during the day or night?
Thanks for stopping by! Until my next post!
