This post has been sitting in my queue for quite some time. Without planning it, I went on an almost two month blogging hiatus. Something felt off and I needed time to just think and refocus. I plan to dive a little deeper into all of that in a post soon but I didn’t want to just jump into blogs without briefly mentioning it. Little by little I’ve been getting my groove back and today something in me just needed to write so here we are.. a new post, finally!
Because of my little break, not a lot of fall content was created and I’m a little bummed because it’s some of my favorites to create! Last year I had a large-and-in-charge baby bump and this year I had planned to take full advantage of not having one. LOL! Well, October came and went and I shared none of the looks I did shoot. Because holiday looks are literally happening now, I debated whether or not to even post my fall looks but in the end, I said what the hell, and so I plan on bringing you some last-minute fall content instead of canning it and never sharing it at all.
what I’m wearing
This fall outfit is one that I wore a ton in October and have carried through November. I’ve shared this skirt before and it’s become one of my favorite purchases of all time. I like to call it my unexpected fall wardrobe hero because little did I know, season after season, it would become a staple in my fall wardrobe. It’s become a timeless piece that still gets compliments every time I wear it. I know a lot of us love to fill our closets with versatile pieces and this skirt has proven to not only stand the test of time, it’s become a great piece when worn casually (as shown) or on a night out.
Another piece that I want to mention is my rattan bag from amerii. They were kind enough to send it to me and I was very impressed with how well-made it is. I know we’re currently into the fall season and winter is knocking at our door, but now is the time I love to shop summer. amerii is having a great sale right now so if you’re wanting to stock up on beautifully crafted rattan bags that are a staple come hot weather, I highly recommend checking them out.
Do you own a pleated midi skirt? What’s an item in your closet you pull out every season and has become your unexpected fall wardrobe season? I would love to know!
Keep coming back for more fall-inspired looks and the beginning of holiday content! I am so excited December is right around the corner. It’ll be Vivienne’s first Christmas so you bet this holiday season is one my husband and I have been waiting for!
Thanks for all your continued support! Until my next post!
