A little something I know a lot about is faking it ’till I make it. There’s no shame in visualizing what you want in order for it to come true – I mean, I hear all the time, “Put it out into the universe!” Well, today I’m visualizing warm and sunny days in Connecticut just like the ones I experienced this past week in Florida!
My husband and westie, Scottie just got back and already I’m plotting our next adventure. There’s something about getting away and not thinking about deadlines or bills that puts you in the right state of mind (ya feel me?).
One of the outfits I wore while in Tampa was this midi linen dress. Unfortunately, it sold out already but I did find alternatives for you guys. I knew heading to warmer weather called for breathable fabric and when I saw this dress, it was an instant winner.

Linen is a staple spring and summer fabric – especially if you live in a humid weather state. I even picked up this jumpsuit (under $35) that worked so well for daytime and nighttime activities. Another thing about linen? It never goes out of fashion. It’s one of those fabrics that you’ll bring out of storage once warmer days arrive. If the clothing item is in a classic silhouette, even better!
I also jumped headfirst into the circle straw crossbody trend while on vacation. I really didn’t know if I’d like it that much but I ended up wearing it everywhere. Surprisingly, these bags go with a lot of outfits so I linked similar options below from different price points.
Do you guys have any vacations coming up? It’s definitely that time of year! In a couple of weeks, we’re headed to Montreal which will be much different weather than Florida! Not excited about the cold but should be a great long weekend away.
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll have a new post later this week!
