No matter the season, a pair of trusty jeans can quickly get you dressed and out the door. They’re an essential piece of any wardrobe and a go-to for so many of us. I know I can’t live without mine! Plus once you find that perfect pair that hugs you in all the right places it’s hard not to want to throw them on every single day.
But ever get stuck on what to wear with jeans? It makes sense that people equate jeans with casual, maybe even boring but that doesn’t have to be the case. Think of jeans as a blank canvas to either play up a look or keep it simple yet classic. There are four types of tops I’m seeing everywhere right now that will amp up your fave jeans and get you ready for spring and summer.
what I’m wearing
Jeans, for the most part, are pretty simple and straightforward. For spring, add drama to your look by pairing your denim with a puff sleeve top. They’re so on trend right now and an incredibly easy way to dress up jeans without trying at all. The puff sleeves will do all the work for you whether you wear it day or night.
Eyelet white top
Like the eyelet white dress, the top is a spring staple. It really brings a sweet and fresh feel to any denim look. I love mine to be a little on the crop top side (not too much) and paired with a high-waisted jean. The outfit is so classic yet casual for an easy weekend look.
A smocked-waist top
These are everywhere right now – normally combined with a bit of the puff sleeve trend. I love them because they’re so flattering and almost always come in the softest floral patterns. This is a great option for slightly elevated everyday wear.
Blush, mint, baby blue: the list goes on and on. A pastel blazer paired with denim this spring is such a fun twist to a classic look we all love. It’s my favorite way to infuse color into my wardrobe and can a great option for an office look. You can still keep things professional without forgoing your personal style.
